Tiger Woods Returns to Florida After Six Weeks of Treatment

Tiger Woods returned to Florida on May 14 after completing six weeks of treatment at a rehabilitation facility in Zurich, Switzerland, according to sources cited by People. Woods, 50, had entered the facility following a March 27 car crash and DUI arrest in which authorities found two hydrocodone pills in his possession. He missed the Masters tournament as a result of the incident.

A source in Jupiter stated that Woods took the treatment seriously and is focused on continuing recovery while addressing legal matters. The same source said Woods and 48-year-old Vanessa Trump remain in a relationship and are happy to see each other.

The source added that Trump is eager to support Woods in his progress and that the couple has maintained contact during his absence. Trump’s five children with ex-husband Donald Trump Jr. have become like family to Woods, the source reported.

A golf community source told People that Woods is eager to return to the sport and is concentrating on his fitness routine. The source noted that Woods is not a quitter and will work to resume playing in whatever capacity his injuries and age allow.

Woods previously posted on social media that he was stepping away to seek treatment and focus on his health. Sources told People that Woods is unlikely to hire a driver despite encouragement to do so.
