TikTok to Air Serrano vs. Manzu World Featherweight Title Fight on August 21

TikTok will broadcast a world featherweight title fight between Amanda Serrano and Lucrecia Manzu on August 21 at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California. Serrano will defend her WBO and WBA titles in the event promoted by Most Valuable Promotions. The August 21 card marks the first championship boxing match scheduled for TikTok Live.

Most Valuable Promotions was co-founded by Jake Paul. Serrano enters the fight with a record of 49-4-1 and 32 knockouts. She is one victory away from tying the all-time record for most wins by a female boxer and is tied for the knockout record with Christy Martin.

Manzu holds a record of 14-4 with seven knockouts. HBO Boxing ended operations in 2018. Showtime closed its boxing division in 2023. Netflix and Paramount+ have carried boxing events since those closures.

"Partnering with TikTok to deliver the first-ever championship boxing event on TikTok Live is another example of that vision to grow the audience for boxing and make world championship fights more accessible than ever," Paul and MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian told The Hollywood Reporter.
