The Minnesota Timberwolves acquired point guard LaMelo Ball and guard Josh Green in a four-team trade completed Tuesday. The team sent forward Naz Reid and a package of draft picks to the Hornets. The assets included a 2033 unprotected first-round pick, first-round swaps in 2028, 2029 and 2030, and second-round picks in 2029, 2032 and 2033.
Trade details Forward Julius Randle was sent to the Nets to create salary-cap space for the Timberwolves to re-sign guard Ayo Dosunmu. President of basketball operations Tim Connelly said the deal was made to add a true point guard and reduce the ball-handling load on forward Anthony Edwards.
