Tipster Claims Video of Nancy Guthrie Abduction and Demands Bitcoin Payment

A person claiming direct knowledge of Nancy Guthrie's abduction sent messages to TMZ founder Harvey Levin stating there were two kidnappers involved and asserting possession of video evidence, Fox News reported. Levin said he has received a series of messages from the sender since the early days of the case. The sender wrote that a phone containing information is stashed in a secure location.

The latest demand is for a single Bitcoin, valued at approximately $60,000 on 2026-06-26, after earlier requests for sums up to $100,000. Levin posted a video on X on Friday challenging the sender to provide proof. "If you've got something, send it," he said.

TMZ claims to have authenticated the latest email, which included a Bitcoin account referenced in prior messages but not previously made public. " Savannah Guthrie has offered more than $1 million for her mother's return. 88-Crime, Tucson's Crime Stoppers affiliate, is offering a $102,500 reward for information leading to an arrest, bringing the combined total above $1.2 million.
