Todd Clements Leads Corales Puntacana Championship by Two Strokes After Record 198

Todd Clements shot a 5-under-par 67 to reach 18-under-par 198 and hold a two-stroke lead after the third round of the Corales Puntacana Championship on July 18. He reached 18-under-par 198 at Puntacana Resort and Club in the Dominican Republic. Clements opened with rounds of 65, 66 and 67.

The 29-year-old set a new 54-hole tournament record, surpassing the previous mark of 199 set by Adam Long in 2021, Wesley Bryan in 2024 and Joel Dahmen in 2025. Ben James stayed two strokes back at 16-under-par 200 after also shooting 67. The 23-year-old will join Clements in the final pairing on Sunday.

Max McGreevy posted the low round of the day with a 65 and moved into a tie for third at 14-under-par alongside Stefano Mazzoli, who shot 66, and Gordon Sargent, who shot 69. Aaron Wise, Dylan Frittelli, Blades Brown, Marcel Schneider, Jacob Skov Olesen and Joe Highsmith shared sixth at 13-under-par.

Clements, who normally plays on the DP World Tour, won the 2023 Czech Masters by closing with a 63 to defeat Matt Wallace by one stroke.

A victory Sunday would secure him PGA Tour status through the 2027 season, 300 FedEx Cup points and the $720,000 winner's share. "Look, you don't turn up to any tournament not trying to win. Did I think it would be this week?

Not sure, but here we are," Clements said. "There's a lot of golf left to go. I had my fair share of luck a little bit out there this week and that needs to continue for that to happen. " James said he was excited for the final round.
