Trevor Ariza Files Income Report in Custody Case, Lists $2,316 Monthly Earnings and $2.5 Million in Real Estate
The former NBA player listed $11,500 in monthly expenses and $2.5 million in real estate while seeking to reduce child support payments.

Ariza listed total monthly expenses of $11,500, including $2,000 for healthcare, groceries, utilities, education, auto expenses and insurance, and $1,000 for clothes and cleaning.
Those expenses exceed the $6,000 average monthly salary reported for former NBA players. The former Knicks forward stated earlier this year that he holds a negative $230,000 balance in his bank account. He also said his ex-wife, Bree Anderson Ariza, refuses to work or contribute financially despite being able to do so.
Ariza has sought to lower his child support payments over the past year. “I’ve been exploring deals, trying everything to create income. Nothing stable has come through. Things changed since we finalized this [divorce],” he said.
Ariza earned $116 million over an 18-year NBA career that began when the Knicks selected him with the No. 43 overall pick in the 2004 draft. He played for 10 teams and won a championship with the Lakers in 2009.
At his peak he signed contracts worth $34 million, $32 million, $25 million and $15 million.
