Truck Series driver wins at Michigan after blocking teammate on final lap
Corey Heim held off teammate Kaden Honeycutt on the last lap to claim his 26th career Truck Series victory. Honeycutt finished second and later expressed frustration with the move.
yardbarker.comCorey Heim blocked Kaden Honeycutt entering Turn 1 on the final lap of Saturday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Michigan, securing the win for TRICON Garage. Honeycutt, who trails only Heim in the standings, said after the race that he would not have lifted had the truck not belonged to the team. He added that he had given away several potential wins earlier in the season.
Post-race comments Heim told reporters that Honeycutt should "get thicker skin and deal with it." He offered the remark during his post-race news conference. Heim now has 26 victories in 94 Truck Series starts and has won 15 of his last 30 races. Honeycutt recorded his second-place finish and holds one career Truck Series win, earned at Watkins Glen on May 8.
