Shortly after taking office for the second time, Donald Trump created the White House Task Force on Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday and named himself chair. ” The Semiquincentennial celebrations begin in June 2026. Musical performers largely pulled out of a planned concert.

The Republican-controlled Senate authorized another 70 billion dollars for immigration enforcement.
