President Donald Trump said Thursday he believes progress is being made between Israel and Lebanon and that Lebanon deserves to have peace after years of conflict. Trump made the remarks to reporters in the Oval Office on June 4, 2026. He said he had spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the situation between Israel and Lebanon and added that he had also spoken to Hezbollah.
