Trump Says at Least 45,000 Attended America 250 Rally

President Trump stated that at least 45,000 people attended a Wednesday evening kickoff event for the Great American State Fair. The event was one of several organized by Freedom 250 to mark the country's 250th anniversary. Trump posted on Truth Social that the crowd was "packed to the brim" and that airplane flyovers and music were featured.
He added that attendees stayed until the end of his speech.
Trump asked Freedom 250 to organize the event after several musical acts withdrew from a separate planned concert series. Vanilla Ice and Milli Vanilli's Fab Morvan remain committed to the concert series. A Freedom 250 spokeswoman said earlier this month that the event would celebrate America's 250th birthday and that the focus would remain on the country rather than individual performers.
Trump encouraged attendance at a July 4 Salute to America rally on the National Mall, another Freedom 250 event. He said the fireworks display would be the largest in world history. Neither Freedom 250 nor the National Park Service provided crowd size estimates to the Washington Examiner.
