Trump and Zelenskyy Meet at G7 Summit in France
U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a bilateral meeting Tuesday on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Evian-les-Bains, France.

Trump told reporters after the meeting that the two had a “very good meeting” and that he planned to meet with Zelenskyy again later the same day.
Trump said he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday. He stated that Russia should make a deal and noted heavy losses on both sides. “Russia has lost a tremendous amount of people and so has Ukraine,” Trump said.
Trump also said the Ukraine conflict was the one he thought was going to be the easiest settled and that there is a lot of dislike between the two leaders. Zelenskyy wrote on X that he had “substantive meetings” on Tuesday. He later told Reuters that he pressed Trump on providing Ukraine with missiles to strengthen its air defense against Russian attacks.
Zelenskyy said securing more air-defense capabilities is one of his top priorities at the G7 summit. S. production capacity falls short of Ukraine’s needs. “This is a big challenge really because the production is not so big as our needs.
The production is in the United States,” he said. “I raised the topic of licenses.
