Thomas Tuchel stated there are no cracks in his relationship with Jude Bellingham after the pair disagreed following England's victory over Norway, GB News reported. Tuchel said he was not happy with the performance while Bellingham felt the team had dug in and played well. Tuchel said he cleared the air with Bellingham and there are no issues between them.
He added that media coverage had created misunderstandings where none existed. "I wonder who blows these things up? So, there is nothing to blow up, and if it's blown up, it's blown up in the media, of course," Tuchel said, according to GB News.
He noted both he and Bellingham come from a competitive background and said the team remains close. Bellingham had said Tuchel may not know what it is like to play in those conditions. Tuchel responded that his own playing career was mediocre at best and joked that a person does not need to be a horse to be a good jockey.
Tuchel said the energy and mentality in camp remain excellent ahead of the next match.
