TUF 34 Strawweight Stiller Briefly Went Missing Then Reappeared During Mountain Training Run

Mackenzie Stiller, a strawweight on The Ultimate Fighter 34 and member of Team Bisping, briefly went missing during a training run at Adrenaline Mountain outside Las Vegas. The run was organized by coach Michael Bisping. Xavier Franklin and Mehemmedeli Osmanli had already finished the course when Stiller disappeared, prompting Franklin and Osmanli to run back down the trail and begin searching.

Several teammates and coaches joined the effort. Stiller reappeared after coming around a corner on the trail. Franklin said Stiller thought she had been told to keep running straight rather than cutting across the path.

The fighters were cutting weight with limited food intake at the time. The mountain run took place during a week focused on weight-cutting struggles. Team Cormier bantamweight Artem Belakh had been cutting weight daily in a sauna suit even before entering the TUF house.

Osmanli submitted Belakh with a first-round rear-naked choke in their quarterfinal bout, evening the season series at 2-2. Franklin said Team Cormier repeatedly taunted Osmanli at weigh-ins and throughout filming. Osmanli responded by throwing water bottles and had to be calmed by Bisping.

Franklin described the tension as present for most of the season. The next TUF 34 episode streams Tuesday on Paramount Plus and features a strawweight bout between Tina Black and Natalia Alves.
