The comments followed a Fox News report that the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control issued administrative subpoenas to Piker and CodePink co-founder Medea Benjamin. Congressional investigators have examined Singham’s donations for several years. A House committee press release in February described him as a donor with alleged close ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
