U.S.-Iran Negotiations Continue Without Final Deal
Talks between the U.S. and Iran remain ongoing with no agreement reached. Iran has stated it will not accept any deal that excludes Lebanon and will not enter nuclear negotiations in the current phase.
Negotiations between the U.S. and Iran are continuing with no final decision reached, Iran's Fars News Agency reported. A member of Tehran's negotiating team said the first phase of talks held in Islamabad stalled because Iran refused to enter nuclear negotiations. The same source stated that Iran will not accept an agreement that ignores Lebanon.
If a deal is ultimately reached, a memorandum of understanding between the U.S. and Iran would follow a four-stage implementation process, the negotiating team member said. Iran's Fars News Agency separately confirmed that any agreement would follow this four-stage process.
The agency described the negotiations as ongoing at the time of reporting. No timeline for further rounds or locations was provided in the reports.
