U.S. Central Command said American forces struck approximately 90 Iranian military targets on July 8, including air defense systems, coastal surveillance assets, missile and drone storage sites, naval capabilities, and military logistics infrastructure along Iran’s coastline.

The command said missile debris fell but reported no casualties or property damage. The U.S. Embassy in Jordan issued an alert the same day warning Americans of missiles, drones, or rockets in Jordanian airspace and urging people to seek overhead cover.
Iranian state media reported explosions near the Bushehr nuclear power plant and in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas. A U.S. official told the Jerusalem Post that the explosions were not caused by U.S. airstrikes. Iranian outlets also claimed strikes on a railway bridge linking Tehran and Mashhad and on another bridge in Golestan province.
Eyewitness video showed damage to the Aq Tekeh Khan railway bridge. >"They called a little while ago. They want to make a deal so badly — I just don’t know if they’re worthy of making a deal. A June 17 memorandum of understanding had extended the ceasefire for 60 days to address regional issues including Lebanon, nuclear weapons, sanctions, and shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian media claimed additional strikes on U.S. ships off Bahrain and explosions at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, but no visual evidence has been released. U.S. Central Command declined to provide new operational details on the reported explosions in southern Iran.
