U.S. New Jobless Claims Fall but Four-Week Average Rises

U.S. applications for unemployment benefits in the week ending June 13 totaled 226,000, down 4,000 from the prior week, the Labor Department reported Thursday. The four-week moving average of claims rose by 4,000 to 223,250.
