U.S. Military Strike on Caribbean Vessel Kills Two, Leaves Six Survivors

The United States military conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel in the Caribbean Sea on June 21, 2026, killing two people and leaving six survivors, Washington Examiner reported. The operation was the third lethal kinetic strike in the preceding week and the fourth in June.

Washington Examiner reported that Joint Task Force Southern Spear carried out the strike at the direction of SOUTHCOM commander Gen.

Francis L. Donovan. Intelligence indicated the vessel was operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations, transiting known narco-trafficking routes, and engaged in narco-trafficking operations. The two killed were described as male narco-terrorists, and the six survivors were male.

After the strike, U.S. Southern Command notified the U.S. Coast Guard to deploy personnel for search and recovery of the survivors, Washington Examiner reported. No U.S. military forces were harmed. Prior strikes included operations on June 16 and June 18 that together killed three male suspected narco-terrorists, with two survivors from the June 16 action, according to Washington Examiner.

An earlier strike on June 3 killed two suspected narco-terrorists. Washington Examiner cited a New York Times tracker showing 65 strikes on suspected drug trafficking vessels in the Southern Hemisphere that have killed 211 people.
