SemaforAIQ, a joint venture between ADNOC and Presight, a unit of G42, is preparing to sell its AI tools to oil and gas producers outside the UAE, starting with the United States. CEO Dennis Jol said at the Semafor Gulf Live event in Abu Dhabi on June 19 that the company has proven its systems at ADNOC and is now ready to export them. The firm has built nearly 300 AI use cases over six years at ADNOC.
Its models, trained on 70 years of company data, support predictive maintenance that reduces drilling downtime, automation that shuts down equipment to avoid accidents, and subsurface modeling that selects which wells to operate. Jol described the firm as model-agnostic, allowing adaptation to any major AI platform.
Jol listed the US, North Sea, Canadian tar sands, and global south markets as top priorities.
He said the applications include closed-circuit camera checks for worker safety gear and routing tools that resemble Uber logistics but apply to energy production.
