Undefeated bantamweight Farid Basharat will step into the octagon at UFC 329 on July 11 while finishing the final fight of his current contract. com reported. Basharat was originally scheduled to face Ethyn Ewing before Ewing withdrew due to injury.
The UFC directed him to complete the bout before any contract discussions, according to the report. His brother Javid won his final contracted fight against Gianni Vazquez in February 2026 but was not offered a new deal. Basharat discussed his own situation with manager Ali Abdelaziz.
"It's a gamble," Basharat said. " He added that his approach is to focus only on preparation: "My whole mentality is control what you can control. " The UFC has not announced a replacement opponent.
