Ukraine Reports Depleted Uranium Warhead Found in Russian Missile

Ukraine's Security Service reported that Russian forces used a missile fitted with a depleted uranium warhead during an attack on April 7 in Chernihiv Oblast. The missile was mounted on a modified Geran-2 drone and targeted Ukrainian helicopters and aircraft conducting air defense missions. 3 μSv/h. The unexploded R-60 air-to-air missile was secured by the Security Service, State Emergency Service units, and Ukrainian Armed Forces near the village of Kamak. The agency urged citizens to leave the area immediately and report any debris from drones or missiles. "Given the toxic and radioactive nature of depleted uranium, citizens are urged to exercise extreme caution when encountering debris from UAVs, missiles, or other munitions," officials said.
