Ukrainian drones strike Wildberries warehouses, killing seven

Russian officials said Ukrainian drones struck a Wildberries warehouse in Kotovsk, Tambov region, killing seven night-shift workers and injuring 25 others. Governor Evgeniy Pervyshov wrote on Telegram that 28 drones were shot down before reaching the site.

In a second strike, officials reported 24 injuries at another Wildberries facility in Elektrostal, east of Moscow. Moscow region governor Andrei Vorobyov said falling drone debris also started a fire at an oil depot in Noginsk, injuring two people and prompting evacuation of a nearby maternity hospital.

Zelensky reports bomber destroyed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine's Security Service destroyed a Tu-95 strategic bomber at Engels air base in Saratov Oblast, nearly 500 miles inside Russia.

Several thousand people gathered outside the presidential office in Kyiv for a second day to protest the removal of defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov during a government reshuffle. Demonstrators also called for the dismissal of commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.

Zelensky seeks to mend Poland ties Zelensky chaired a meeting on relations with Poland and pledged to expand investigations into killings of Poles by the Ukrainian Insurgent Army during World War Two. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk welcomed the move, saying Warsaw was ready for dialogue on issues that divide the two countries.

Russian vote Russian authorities detained blogger Ilya Remeslo in St. Petersburg on suspicion of spreading false information about the army and remanded him in custody until September 16. Separately, anti-war politician Boris Nadezhdin was fined 1,000 roubles for displaying extremist symbols.
