Nine varieties of flavors and bag sizes are affected. 5oz Zapp's Brand Big Cheezy Potato Chip, 8oz Zapp's Brand Big Cheezy Potato Chip and 2oz Dirty Brand Sour Cream and Onion Potato Chips. The recalled products were sold at retail stores nationwide.
No complaints of illness have been reported to Utz in connection with the recalled products.
No other products produced by Utz are included in this recall. This voluntary recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the United States Food and Drug Administration. Children under the age of 5, adults 65 and older, or those with weakened immune systems may experience more severe salmonella illnesses that require medical treatment or hospitalization.
