Vikings Hire Former Bears GM Pace as Adviser
The Minnesota Vikings added Ryan Pace as a football adviser this week. Pace previously served as Chicago Bears general manager from 2015 to 2021 and spent the past four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons personnel department.
The Minnesota Vikings hired former Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Pace as a football adviser this week. Pace will serve as a GM-level sounding board for new general manager Nolan Teasley, who joined the team earlier this month from the Seattle Seahawks.
The team also added Azzaam Kapadia as assistant director of pro scouting. Kapadia spent the past three seasons with the Seahawks and worked as a pro scout in 2025. Teasley has now hired two members of the Seahawks front office since arriving, including new assistant general manager Trent Kirchner.
The Vikings did not change the structure of their organization upon Teasley's arrival. Both the general manager and coach Kevin O'Connell report directly to ownership. Ownership empowered Teasley to adjust the personnel staff as necessary. Four members of the personnel department departed last week: assistant general manager Demitrius Washington, senior personnel executive Jamaal Stephenson, assistant director of college scouting Pat Roberts, and pro scout Salli Clavelle.
Alongside Kirchner, Teasley also hired former Cleveland Browns analytics executive Andrew Healy as an assistant general manager. Current assistant general manager Ryan Grigson will remain with the Vikings but will have a different title.
