The vehicle was later located at Lozano’s house in a residential area in Yakima, Washington.
As agents approached the house, they observed Lozano armed with a visible pistol. Lozano told the agents, “I’ve got something for you,” then retrieved an AR-15-style rifle from the rear of the house. Lozano told the agents, “I have 60 rounds and have enough to smoke all you,” and “You see an AR and walk away,” according to DHS.
Agents returned to the residence on June 4 and arrested Lozano. During the search, agents found two firearms, firearms parts, and mixed ammunition. Lozano was charged with threats against a federal law enforcement officer.
DHS stated that ICE law enforcement have faced an 8,000% increase in death threats in 2026, along with a 1,300% increase in assaults and a 3,300% increase in vehicle assaults.
