Wednesday Season 3 Begins Production with New Cast Additions for 2027 Release

Netflix confirmed the production start in Ireland at the end of February 2026. The season is set to release in 2027, alongside other Netflix series.

New cast members have been announced for Season 3. Eva Green will portray Aunt Ophelia, a character described as a Raven like the protagonist and previously thought to be missing. At the end of Season 2, it was revealed that Grandmama Hester Frump had kept Ophelia in a basement, where the protagonist developed a psychic connection through an old diary and book of visions.

New Cast Additions Winona Ryder will join the cast as Tabitha, marking a collaboration with director Tim Burton from previous projects.

Additional newcomers include Chris Sarandon as Balthazar, Noah Taylor as Cyrus, Oscar Morgan as Atticus, and Kennedy Moyer as Daisy. A teaser video announcing the production start hinted at these characters' names or initials. Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, and James Lance are also set to appear as guest stars in Season 3.
