Welsh fighter signs five-fight deal with Cage Warriors
Ieuan Mackenzie, a 25-year-old Welsh bantamweight, signed a five-fight contract with Cage Warriors and will face Kadeem Perkins on 27 June in London. Mackenzie holds a record of six wins and two losses and said he expects to reach the UFC within a year.

Welsh bantamweight Ieuan Mackenzie signed a five-fight deal with Cage Warriors and will face unbeaten Englishman Kadeem Perkins at Cage Warriors 208 in London on 27 June. Mackenzie, 25, enters the bout with six wins and two losses. He said the recent first-round finish of Keir Harvie has increased his confidence against other bantamweights in the promotion.
Perkins holds four wins and no losses. Mackenzie stated he viewed Perkins' last fight and believes the opponent is less experienced than his record suggests.
Mackenzie said a strong performance could lead to a UFC debut within 12 months. He noted that two additional wins would give him eight victories and two defeats, positioning him for a possible Contender Series opportunity. He added that the multi-fight agreement provides guaranteed activity after previous one-off bouts.
Support network Mackenzie credited his fiancée, Commonwealth Games judo bronze medallist Jasmine Hacker-Jones, for logistical and training support. He described her as both his strongest critic and strongest supporter.
