The Knicks defeated the Spurs 107-106 in New York on Wednesday night, taking a 3-1 lead in the 2026 NBA Finals series.
Wembanyama now has three flagrant foul points in the postseason and sits one point away from an automatic suspension.
The foul came while the two players were tied up near the 3-point line. Earlier in the postseason, Wembanyama elbowed Minnesota Timberwolves forward Naz Reid in the jaw during Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals. That contact drew a flagrant foul 2, led to his ejection, and accounted for two of his three accumulated points.
He received no fine or additional discipline for the incident. In Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Wembanyama shoved Knicks guard Jalen Brunson to the floor. Officials did not call a foul on the play. The NBA later reviewed the contact, determined it was a foul, but declined to upgrade it to a flagrant.
