Congo's neighbors Uganda and Rwanda have closed their borders. The Trump administration announced a temporary entry ban last week for certain travelers who visited Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan in the past 21 days. Tedros discouraged broad travel bans, saying cases can be managed without them.
