Workers called Orange County sheriff's deputies after the guest, identified as Leslie Helen Varley, became upset when staff would not allow her large party to move tables to sit together, according to a sheriff's report.
Deputies reported that Varley threw three glasses of water on one staff member. She then removed the nametag from a manager and walked away with it, the manager told deputies. The two employees invoked Marsy's Law to keep their identities private. Varley told deputies she became upset after a staff member made a statement about her disabled daughter touching a cast member.
She admitted taking the nametag but said she intended to photograph it.
Varley was charged with two counts of battery, robbery by sudden snatching, criminal mischief under $200, and trespassing at Disney World. The restaurant's website states it welcomes large parties but recommends advance reservations.
