Xbox Games Showcase Announces 2026-2027 Release Dates for Halo, Fable, Gears of War: E-Day and Others, With Most Titles Coming to PS5

Microsoft revealed release dates and platform availability for several major titles during the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7, 2026 at 1PM ET. The event was followed by a dedicated presentation on Gears of War: E-Day. Halo: Campaign Evolved will launch on July 28th, 2026 on Xbox Series S/X, PC, and PS5.

The remake includes a new three-mission story arc called Operation: Meteorite that takes place a year before the events of the original game. Fable will release on February 23rd, 2027 on Xbox, PC, and PS5 simultaneously. Players who purchase the Premium Edition will receive early access beginning February 18th, 2027.

The title was delayed from a planned 2026 release. Gears of War: E-Day will launch on October 6th, 2026 as an Xbox console exclusive. The game will not be available on PS5. Minecraft Dungeons 2 is scheduled for release on September 29th, 2026.

The sequel follows a brief trailer Microsoft released in March that had targeted a fall 2026 window. 99 downloadable content pack, launches on July 7th, 2026. The update includes a throwable spear weapon and is included with the Premium Edition or Collectors Bundle.

The next major Flight Simulator update arrives on July 4th, 2026 and adds over 30 American landmarks and national parks along with the ability to fly the Goodyear blimp. Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse releases on October 15th, 2026. The game was developed by teams that previously worked on Dead Cells but is not a roguelike.

Spyro: A Realm Beyond launches in spring 2027 on Xbox, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Crazy Taxi: World Tour is scheduled for release in 2027. Sega’s new entry returns to the series’ classic gameplay style.
