Yankees place Grisham on injured list, activate Dominguez

The New York Yankees placed outfielder Trent Grisham on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a right hamstring strain he suffered Friday night. Grisham had batted .370 with a .987 OPS over his previous 19 games. The injury occurred during an 8-5 loss at Rogers Centre.
Roster adjustments The Yankees activated outfielder Jasson Dominguez off the injured list several days ahead of schedule. Dominguez started in right field Saturday, marking his first career start at the position in the major leagues. Outfielder Spencer Jones is expected to handle most center field duties while Grisham is sidelined.
Dominguez had played three games in right field during his rehabilitation assignment.
Injury context Grisham joins Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Austin Wells and left-hander Max Fried on the injured list from the Opening Day lineup. Manager Aaron Boone said Friday night that the team has dealt with multiple injuries throughout the season.
"Fortunately, as we've talked about all year, I feel like it's one of the deeper rosters we've had in a while," Boone said.
