They finished the postseason with a 13-game winning streak after starting 1-2 against the Atlanta Hawks.
The Knicks swept the Philadelphia 76ers and the Cleveland Cavaliers during the playoffs. They also trailed by 22 points at one point in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers before winning that game. Owner James Dolan addressed the team in the locker room ahead of the postseason.
He spoke for several minutes about the importance of sacrifice during the 10-week playoff period and told players to avoid fornication for those 10 weeks.
