New York Knicks Receive Ticker-Tape Parade After NBA Title Win

The New York Knicks held a ticker-tape parade through lower Manhattan on Thursday after winning the NBA Finals for the first time in 53 years. The parade began at 10 a.m. near Battery Park and traveled north along Broadway through the Canyon of Heroes before ending at City Hall. The route followed the team's two comeback victories that concluded with a Game 5 win on Saturday.

Lee rode on a float with NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson.

Timothée Chalamet and Mariska Hargitay were also present downtown to support the team. Ben Stiller appeared on one of the floats. The actor-director had attended every game while filming footage for a documentary project involving the NBA, A24 and HBO.

Tracy Morgan joined Brunson on his float. The comedian had predicted before the series that a Knicks championship would result in the Statue of Liberty becoming pregnant.

City Mayor Zohran Mamdani rode on a float with center Karl-Anthony Towns and forward OG Anunoby. The mayor presented the key to the city to the team, coaches, staff and owner James Dolan after the parade. Former Knicks players including Patrick Ewing, Carmelo Anthony, Latrell Sprewell, Larry Johnson, Amar'e Stoudemire, Allan Houston, Stephon Marbury, John Starks and Walt Frazier attended the event.

Clan headlined a hip-hop float.

Local performers including Q-Tip, Mobb Deep, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Fabolous, Ja Rule, M.O.P., Mary J. Blige and Yung Miami also appeared.
