Zoetis will buy the Texas firm that maintains a database of more than 30 million animal radiology images. The acquisition follows an earlier $160 million purchase of Neogen’s animal genomics business this year.

Earlier in 2026, Zoetis agreed to acquire Neogen’s animal genomics business for $160 million.
That transaction included a database of genetic testing records from customers across 120 countries. Jamie Brannan, Zoetis chief commercial officer, said at the time that the records would round out the software the company provides farmers for managing their herds. Zoetis declined to disclose the purchase price for VitalRADS.
The company’s share price fell 30 percent after its most recent earnings announcement amid reduced spending by U.S. pet owners.
