Over 1,000 Catholics Hold Eucharistic Procession Through D.C. Squares Near White House Under Theme 'One Nation Under God'

At least 1,000 Catholics gathered on Saturday, June 6, 2026, for a Eucharistic procession near the White House. m. Mass outside the Catholic Information Center’s office.

It is named for Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini, who established 67 hospitals, schools, and orphanages over 34 years.

Nine “Perpetual Pilgrims” are walking the full route. Approximately 10,000 other people have joined partner processions along the way. The Perpetual Pilgrims also joined Fr. Trullols in an act of Eucharistic devotion at the Washington Monument on June 5 or 6 to bless the United States ahead of its 250th anniversary.

She added, “In each Eucharistic procession, I pray that Jesus will bless, heal, and renew the community we journey through. ” Jason Shanks, president of the National Eucharistic Congress, said the procession continues a practice Pope Leo XIV carried out in Rome last year. “Catholics are bringing that same public witness to the heart of Washington,” he stated.
