Adam Vinatieri to Enter Colts Ring of Honor on October 18

Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri will be inducted into the team's Ring of Honor on October 18 during the franchise's game against the Tennessee Titans at Lucas Oil Stadium, ESPN reported. The ceremony will make Vinatieri the 21st person associated with the Colts to receive the distinction. Vinatieri is scheduled to enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame next month.
He joined the Colts as a free agent in 2006 after 10 seasons with the New England Patriots and remained with Indianapolis through the end of his 24-year career. During the 2006 postseason, Vinatieri converted 14 field goals, including five in a divisional-round victory over the Baltimore Ravens and three in the Super Bowl XLI win over the Chicago Bears, ESPN reported.
He holds the NFL records for most points scored with 2,673 and most field goals made with 599.
Vinatieri also set the league mark for consecutive field goals with a streak of 44 during the 2015-16 seasons.
