Arizona and Arkansas schedule multi-year basketball series

Arizona and Arkansas have agreed to a series that begins with a neutral-site game next season and continues with home-and-home contests in 2027 and 2028. The matchup follows their March 2026 NCAA Tournament meeting.

Arizona and Arkansas have verbally agreed to a multi-year men's basketball series, with the first game set for Dec. 19, 2026, at the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix. The game is part of the Naismith Hall of Fame Series and will be played as a doubleheader that also includes UNLV against SMU. The contest will not be held on either team's campus.

The second game is scheduled for the 2027-28 season at Arkansas' Bud Walton Arena. The third game will take place in the 2028-29 season at Arizona's McKale Center in Tucson. An option exists for a fourth game in the 2029-30 season at a location to be determined later.

Background The teams last met in the 2026 NCAA Tournament West Regional semifinals, where Arizona defeated Arkansas 109-88. The programs have played nine times historically, with Arkansas holding a 6-3 series lead. Their most recent regular-season meeting occurred on Nov.
