The Atlanta Braves placed shortstop Kim Ha-seong on the 10-day injured list Saturday with right middle finger inflammation. The team activated Kyle Farmer in a corresponding roster move. Kim had the same finger surgically repaired in January after slipping on ice in South Korea and tearing a ligament.
Kim signed the one-year, $20 million contract with the Braves shortly before the injury. 068 with five hits, zero home runs, three RBIs and 22 strikeouts in 27 games. The Braves have used Mauricio Dubon, Jorge Mateo and Jim Jarvis at shortstop during Kim's absence.
With Kim sidelined, San Francisco Giants outfielder Lee Jung-hoo is the only active South Korean player in Major League Baseball.
