FC Barcelona has opened transfer talks with representatives of Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, Forbes reported. The 32-year-old England forward scored three goals in the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He netted twice in a 4-2 opening win over Croatia and added one more against Panama after a cross from Jude Bellingham.
Kane's contract with Bayern Munich expires in 2027. He enters the final 12 months of the deal during the week of June 29, 2026. Kane wants an extension until 2030, while Bayern prefers a two-year deal.
Barcelona previously signed Robert Lewandowski from Bayern for $57 million in 2022 when the Polish striker was nearing his 34th birthday. Lewandowski scored 120 goals in 193 appearances for Barcelona, won three La Liga titles, and leaves as a free agent on June 30, 2026. Kane remains focused on England's World Cup campaign.
