europeanbusinessreview.comBitGo Europe said its Crypto-as-a-Service platform allows eligible crypto firms across Europe to integrate existing wallets into MiCA-compliant sub-accounts without building separate regulated infrastructure. BitGo Europe is authorized by the German regulator BaFin.
CEO Mike Belshe said firms that have completed required KYC checks on clients can onboard them to segregated sub-accounts inside BitGo.
MiCA transition The final deadline for crypto firms to transition to the MiCA regime is June 30, 2026. Industry estimates from 2024 showed more than 3,000 registered crypto firms in Europe, with Poland accounting for over 1,400 registrations. As of May 2026, 194 authorized CASPs exist, and around 75 percent of the pre-MiCA population is expected to lose registration status when transitional periods expire, according to law firm Hogan Lovells.
BitGo's offering Belshe said firms running wallets without a MiCA license can sign up with BitGo and integrate their wallets, provided KYC work aligned with MiCA is completed. Eligible businesses may also pursue their own CASP licenses while using BitGo's infrastructure.
Belshe said fees start at a few thousand dollars per month and can scale with volume or follow fixed or variable plans based on transactions.
