Background on the Player Woods Richardson, 25, holds a 12-17 career record with a 4.76 ERA. He previously pitched in the minor leagues for Toronto after being selected by the New York Mets in the second round of the 2018 draft. The right-hander reached the majors in 2022 and joined the Twins' rotation in 2024.
" Schneider noted the team is familiar with the pitcher from his earlier time in the organization. Schneider said he was unsure of Woods Richardson's role with Toronto but mentioned long relief and starting as possibilities. He added that the team could make adjustments to the pitcher's arsenal.
