Bulls' No. 4 Pick Caleb Wilson Says He Expects NBA Rookie of the Year
Caleb Wilson, selected fourth overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2026 NBA draft, told reporters at his introductory news conference that he expects to win Rookie of the Year. The 20-year-old forward from North Carolina also said he aims to become one of the franchise's all-time greats.

Caleb Wilson told reporters Friday that he expects to win NBA Rookie of the Year in his first season with the Chicago Bulls. Wilson, taken with the fourth pick in Tuesday's draft, spoke at an introductory news conference at the team's practice facility. He said the Bulls roster fits the style of play he envisions.
"I expect to have Rookie of the Year, honestly," Wilson said. " Wilson played one season at North Carolina before breaking his thumb in March and missing the NCAA tournament. He reiterated comments from draft night that referenced Michael Jordan, saying the Bulls "have one of the GOATs in y'all history.
The Bulls also introduced Dailyn Swain, selected 15th overall from Texas. Both players sat with new vice president and head of basketball operations Bryson Graham, who was hired in April. Wilson said he plans to lead by example and help restore the franchise's standing.
"I know I'll step in and be a leader, lead by example and making sure that I get this city to back where it was," he said. He described his approach on the court as that of a complete player. "I feel like I'm just a basketball player.
I'm gonna do what it takes to win, so getting the rebound, pushing it, creating and initiating transition, making sure I'm a good screener, coming off ball screens," Wilson said. Wilson turns 20 next month.
