Bumble will launch a group-dating feature called Plans this week that requires users to pay a fee to join small group events. Users who receive an invitation must also pay the RSVP fee to attend. After the event, Bumble will ask participants about their experience and whether they liked any specific attendees.

Bumble announced the launch of the Plans social handle, @plansbybumble, in a Slack message sent to employees this week. The feature comes as Bumble seeks additional revenue after facing declining revenue. It also follows a March announcement by Tinder of a new Events tab that connects users to in-person dating experiences.

Tinder CEO Spencer Rascoff told Business Insider in March that events are fun, they're low-pressure, they're social, they're safe. Bumble has tried similar in-person dating experiences in the past.
