Dell released a new XPS 13 laptop that matches several specifications of the MacBook Neo while offering upgrade options. The device uses an aluminum chassis half an inch thick and includes a 2560 x 1600 IPS display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 500 nits brightness.

The XPS 13 starts with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage paired with an Intel Core 5 processor. Buyers can configure the model up to 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.

Microsoft introduced two Surface Laptop models for business customers. The 13.8-inch version starts with 16 GB of RAM and uses Intel's Core Ultra X7 368H processor. The 13-inch model is priced from $1,200 and offers an optional 8 GB RAM configuration that will become available later this year. Earlier consumer versions of the Surface Laptop 13 began with 16 GB of RAM.

Wired reported that several Windows laptop makers have introduced models with 16 GB of RAM and more powerful processors at similar price points. These devices typically use conventional chassis materials rather than matching the MacBook Neo's display and build specifications.

Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon C chip intended for Windows laptops priced from $300. The announcement follows earlier reports of memory supply constraints affecting multiple manufacturers.
