Norway striker Erling Haaland added nearly 30 million Instagram followers during the World Cup, reaching more than 70 million. Other players including Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha and England's Jude Bellingham recorded large gains as well.

Norway striker Erling Haaland added nearly 30 million Instagram followers in the past 30 days, reaching more than 70 million as of July 18, Al Jazeera reported. Analytics tool Social Blade projects he will reach 75 million after the World Cup final and nearly 322 million by the end of 2026.
The 25-year-old, who stands 195 centimeters tall, has posted candid content including Snapchat stories and images with a taxidermied raccoon.
Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha saw his following jump from 500,000 to nearly 5 million within hours after his team's 0-0 draw with Spain. His saves preserved the result in the World Cup opener. The 40-year-old now has 29.3 million followers, and his posts continue to draw millions of likes.
England midfielder Jude Bellingham gained nearly 9 million followers in the past 30 days and currently has 50 million, according to Social Blade. He added 3 million in October after discussing his mental health struggles. The 23-year-old's team exited the tournament earlier this week.
Spain's Lamine Yamal, 19, has 49. His feed features post-match photos, brand partnerships and family images, including his younger brother Keyne. The Barcelona striker could gain additional followers after Sunday's World Cup final against Argentina.
New Zealand defender Tim Payne's following rose from fewer than 5,000 to about 5.8 million after an influencer campaign in late May. He later met the influencer at the team's hotel in Boca Raton, Florida.
