Florida Woman Killed by Two Pit Bulls in Brevard County

Her husband found her after hearing cries for help and saw the dogs dragging her across the road. He attempted to stop the bleeding with a knife in one hand while holding pressure on wounds with the other before emergency crews arrived.
The woman was airlifted to a hospital but died from her injuries several hours later.
Neighbors told local outlets that the same two dogs had previously surrounded vehicles and attacked passersby. One resident said the animals once trapped them inside a car for 30 minutes. Surveillance video showed the woman walking with her small dog moments before the attack.
Her husband said the pit bulls were likely chasing the smaller dog and that she intervened. The husband also said the dogs had been known to terrorize the neighborhood and that officials had received prior complaints.
Animal control officers seized both dogs after the attack.
No arrests have been made, according to WESH 2 News. The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office did not respond to requests for comment.
