A humanoid robot struck a child in the abdomen during a martial arts demonstration at a tourist attraction in northwest China. The incident took place at a site in Xinjiang, according to reports from Shanghai Daily posted on X on June 3, 2026. The robot, identified as a Unitree G1 model, delivered a roundhouse kick comparable in force to a 10-kilogram sack of rice, The Asian Business Daily reported on June 5, 2026.

A separate Unitree G1 robot struck a man in the nose during another martial arts performance, causing a bloody nose but no life-threatening injury, Futurism reported in February 2026. The same model has been shown performing wall runs and flips in earlier demonstrations.
