Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis to miss 4-6 months after shoulder surgery following Stanley Cup win

Seth Jarvis underwent shoulder surgery after the Carolina Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup on June 27, 2026, and is expected to miss 4-6 months, ESPN reported. General manager Eric Tulsky made the announcement Friday after the first round of the NHL draft. Jarvis, 24, led the Hurricanes with 32 goals in 71 regular-season games and posted 0.93 points per game.
He recorded four goals and seven assists in 19 playoff games, including one goal and two assists in the Stanley Cup Final against the Vegas Golden Knights. Coach Rod Brind'Amour moved Jarvis to the third line during the Final. The shoulder issue originated during the 2023-24 season.
Jarvis had surgery to repair a torn labrum and rotator cuff after using strengthening and rehab to manage the injury through the postseason, Tulsky said. Tulsky also announced that forward Eric Robinson will miss up to eight weeks after knee surgery.
He said prospect Bradly Nadeau, who had three goals in 12 games with the team last season, could receive additional playing time while Jarvis and Robinson are out.
