Jackson Arnold Transfers to UNLV After Stints at Oklahoma and Auburn
Quarterback Jackson Arnold enrolled at UNLV in January after two prior college stops. The program is led by head coach Dan Mullen and offensive coordinator Corey Dennis.

Jackson Arnold transferred to UNLV in January after playing at Oklahoma and Auburn. The move gives the former five-star recruit another opportunity to compete for a starting role. Arnold spent one season as a backup at Oklahoma before starting in 2024.
He completed passes for modest yardage while the team dealt with injuries along the offensive line and at receiver. He was briefly benched after three turnovers against Tennessee.
Arnold entered the transfer portal after the 2024 season and landed at Auburn. The team began the year with six projected NFL offensive linemen and two top receiving prospects, but head coach Hugh Freeze was fired on Nov. 2. Arnold was sacked nine times in a loss at Oklahoma and later entered the portal again.
UNLV offensive coordinator Corey Dennis had recruited Arnold out of high school and stayed in contact. Dennis and UNLV chief of staff Lee Davis, who had worked with Arnold at Oklahoma, helped facilitate the transfer. Arnold said he chose UNLV because of existing relationships and the pro-style offense run by head coach Dan Mullen.
Arnold is not guaranteed the starting job. Former Michigan transfer Alex Orji remains on the roster, and Mullen has used multiple quarterbacks in past seasons. UNLV opens its 2026 schedule on Sept. 12 against North Texas.
